October Rankings

by Anthony Calabria (November 2, 2008)

The Clowns are asserting their dominance, but there are several other contenders as the MFL heads into the second half of the season.  Despite losing to Philly, the Clowns were unanimously voted into the top spot of our polls once again.  The Longhorns’ loss to Houston probably cost them a shot at #1, but they still look very strong and should be the top seed in their conference heading into the playoffs.  Out West, Golden State continues to battle Vegas for the division lead and it could very well come down to their Week 12 matchup.  The other two divisions are currently led by Springfield and Houston, but neither should feel comfortable with at least two teams breathing down their backs.

THE TOP TEN (W-L)

1. Las Vegas Clowns (7-1, eight 1st place votes, total points-80)

2. Philadelphia Longhorns (6-2, total points-72)
